Dr. Brett Henson

Dr. Brett Henson is a native of Boone, NC. She received her B.S. in Nutrition Science from N.C. State with a Minor in Psychology. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University with her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2017.  She became interested in chiropractic after she experienced life-changing benefits following a childhood injury. With continued care her parents also noted other improvements in her life including the reduced severity of asthma. Brett's experience inspired her to pursue a career as a chiropractor so she can help others in the same non-invasive and gentle way.

Her passion in nutrition and healthy eating never changed and she believes that proper nutrition and exercise is vital to good health. She offers one-on-one functional nutrition testing and coaching in her office utilizing the patented blood analysis system, Science Based Nutrition. This system creates specific nutritional protocols to support personal health transformations without the use of prescription drugs.

In chiropractic school she had the privilege of interning with one of the top pediatric chiropractors in the world, Dr. Drew Rubin. She learned techniques to help pregnant woman have a healthier and easier pregnancy as well as to adjust babies and kids. Dr. Brett is Webster technique certified, a specific sacral adjustment to help facilitate the mother's pelvic alignment and nervous system function. This technique as described on the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) website may offer a greater potential for optimal fetal positioning at birth.

Dr. Brett is Advanced Certified in Activator Technique and primarily utilizes the Activator tool to adjust. The Activator method uses a hand-held instrument that delivers a powerful but gentle force to the spine to restore motion to the targeted spinal vertebrae or joint.

In her leisure time Dr. Brett enjoys spending time with her husband Nick, hiking, running, reading, and cooking healthy meals. Dr. Brett is excited to practice and serve in the high country, her hometown.
